Great, thorough review of Yelp. Why do you think that organic is so much more productive than paid advertising? After all, many people are spending a lot of money to SPAM organic results.

Hey Pascal!

Good work with your shots, especially the second captures the moment, emotion and geometry as our friend Henri Cartier- Bresson advised.

We'll create some big shifts this coming year with our AYPClub with the power of all that knowledge coupled with the challenges to go out and shot your own images-- that's my dream!

Cheers,

Marc

Hi to all of you over in America !
Well, besides all that can already be read or listened to on this page about photography and AYP, there is even more that can be spread as news now.
Help me - help you - yes, the AYP project is even international already. Marc Silber kicked the ball and we, over here in Germany e.g. have picked it up as fast as lightning. And there are other partners as well all around the world.

Now, who is "we" ? Just a short introduction - we = Martin, Dirk and me, Ann-Lisa, all the three of us working together having just built up a website called http.//www.photoakademie.eu which is in German and English as well.
We decided to become partner of AYP at once, just the second, we became known to this via internet. Mind you all of us jumped into space when we got the message that we are in on this beautiful AYP-project. Nothing but joy and happiness over here - it's such a great chance for photography and photography is worth it.
All of the three of us over here love photography, it's our passion although we all know about the ups and downs as well. We sort of breathe photography and love to share our knowledge and experiences, our craft and visions.

Photography is a world wide language, that doesn't need words to tell s.th. or to be understood - it's the language of images. Photography is a world of its own - it can enlarge our sight of the world, touch our feelings as well as our life. No matter whatever the mother tongue - photographers can talk with their photos and people can be touched by them.

Photography might tear you into pieces but it gives you moments of pure happiness whenever you feel, you have got your shot. When you realize, you are improving/advancing your craft and vision etc. When you are on your way.

Photography is even more - you get close to other people, there are contacts all over and thus you know, you are not alone, neither with problems nor with success.
We share both of it, because we all know these situations.
And there are even friendships arising - one meets personally and works together.

AYP - that is a real great chance to be given to all of us, however we want to take part in it, however we can take part in it.
It's a chance for photography - and a chance for us and for you.
Hey, is there really anyone around, who wants to miss a chance ?
You are not alone - we (all of us working in the AYP project) are waiting for you and are looking forward to you !

All the best and staying in contact with all of you, looking forward to your photos and experiences etc. and you yourselves

Excellent analysis and overview of what Yelp offers. A nice neutral perspective too. That's refreshing. Although there may be a bug somewhere in their program. When you come off paid status, I've heard several complain that their pages then weren't indexed anymore, not on Google or searchable. It got fixed, but I have seen it for myself that some pages are suppressed. So I'd work that into the contract that you are trying for a limited time and that your page will revert exactly as it is now on the free page, still be indexed, etc. just to make sure. They've added some wicked killer tracking and back end stuff for business lately so I can see why you're considering it.
