When Rosh Sillars (@RoshSillars) wrote his book Canon EOS T5i – Digital Field Guide and was looking for a still photographer that is an expert on shooting video on an DSLR, he turned to Pascal Depuhl a Miami based advertising and product photographer, who began shooting video a few years back.

Pascal had just returned from shooting his first documentary in Afghanistan a year before this publication. He shares from the lessons he learned shooting “On Wings of Hope” and the videos he has produced for his corporate clients.

DSLRs capture cinematic images …

… but their not really designed to shoot video. Anyone who has been shooting video with high end digital movie cameras, is always impressed by the image quality these small cameras deliver. Check out some of the basic issues you have to be aware of, when shooting with these type of cameras.
